Our History
Bryson Funeral Home, Inc., located in Pilot Knob, MO, was founded by Dr. William F. Bryson DVM and his wife Jean and began operation in February of 1983. Upon opening Dr. Bryson pledged to the people of the Arcadia Valley that he would "provide a service that will help them with their time of grief and sorrow". He dedicated the building in memory of his parents, Delmar and Minnie Bryson, "who lived and died in this valley which they loved so much".
Built on a foundation of trusted service, the tradition continues today with Dr. Bryson's daughter Allison Bryson, as 2nd generation owner and licensed funeral director.

We also have a selection of monuments and can provide cremation for your beloved pet.

With 35 years of experience as a Licensed Funeral Director and Licensed Preneed Agent, Allison Bryson is dedicated to helping families create the perfect memorials for their loved ones. Her extensive background in the funeral industry, combined with a deep compassion for those she serves, ensures that every detail is handled with care and respect.
Allison holds both a B.A. in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Missouri, grounding her work in a strong foundation of empathy and understanding. Whether guiding families through difficult decisions or offering support during challenging times, Allison is committed to making each experience as comforting as possible.
Outside her professional life, Allison is an avid animal lover with a special place in her heart for her dogs. Though she no longer rides, her love for horses remains strong. She also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. A proud supporter of the Mizzou Tigers and the Kansas City Chiefs, you can often find her cheering on her favorite teams during football season.
