Russel Lee Miller passed away August 1, 2017 in Viburnum, Missouri at the age of 76 years. He was born on July 9, 1941 in Madison County, Missouri, son to the late Ester and Olie (Reed) Miller. On June 27, 1987, he was united in marriage to Landra Kay Faulkner who survives. Also surviving are his two children David Miller and wife Sandy of Branson, Missouri and Tammy Murphy and husband Patrick of Ballwin, Missouri. He is also survived by his step children Lee Miller of Mission, Texas and Shannon Miller of Eatonville, Washington; brothers James Miller, Earnest Miller, Alfred Miller, Melvin Miller, Gale Miller; sisters Rheta Townsend and Dorothy Brotherton, eight grandchildren, Roger Eaton, Justin Miller, Montana Miller, Allison Miller, Savannah Miller, Madison Miller, Ashleigh Miller, Daniel Miller, and three great grandchildren Layne, Tycen and Sky Eaton, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Russel was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Lamb, brothers Noah Miller and Owen Miller, and his sister Alma Mathes. Russel retired from The Doe Run Company as a Mill Foreman. He attended the Belgrade Church of God. Russel enjoyed gospel bluegrass music, hunting and fishing. He was a talented woodworker and was gifted at building fiddles and guitars. He was also a very skilled knifemaker specializing in hunting knives that he shared with so many of his friends.
